"Avoid eye contact. Men interpret it as a sign of sexual interest. However, a lack of eye contact will be seen as a challenge."

I'm in interested in this article simply for the sake of dealing with many customers who hit on me. Anyway, a lack of eye contact is a challenge, as that caused one customer to assume I was very shy towards him. In the past there have been so many male customers that hit on me, that for a while I got into a habit of not making eye contact with them that was too long. If a male customer thinks I'm shy, I really don't care. However this particular customer told my female manager that he thought I was shy and that is how I found out. Naturally, my manager who is married by the way..... has always been bubbly, loud, outgoing and even flirty, BUT since she is in her early 60s and not attractive, she can easily be that way and NOT one male customer will hit on her or try to get personal with her. I work in an insurance office by the way.to be more out Anyway, so avoiding eye contact for a long time can be a challenge since some people will get rubbed the wrong way and say that I'm a snob or something. lol.
